Each year we receive daylily catalogs from growers and we drool over new introductions from growers from the southern states such as Florida, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Several members of the Ontario Daylily Society are serious hybridizers with goals of developing vigorous, hardy daylilies that perform exceptionally well in northern climate. The Ontario Daylily Society is pleased to introduce
members that are hybridizing and registering their
daylilies with AHS. We also profile our up and coming hybridizers. more..... |

Daylilies are easy to pollinate and hybridize allowing you to create your own crosses and new daylilies. Even daylilies pollinated by there own pollen will not produce an identical flower. At the end of the year a hybridizer may have collected hundreds of daylily seeds from select crosses. These will be germinated in hopes of producing a special daylily. Many sell seeds due to time/space constraints or to offset the cost of their daylily habit. more..... |

The ODS Robin is a closed group for
members of the ODS (Ontario Daylily Society). ODS members are a mix
of Daylily enthusiasts, gardeners, hybridizers and growers. While some diehard regular members
drive 3 to 5 hours to attend a meeting others never attend because
of their location. |
